Volunteering
Coalition to Save the Elms Manitoba offers volunteers a creative way to share ideas and experiences while learning new skills. Volunteering at the Centre gives the opportunity to make a difference in your community and to contribute to the protection of their urban environment.
NEWSLETTER VOLUNTEERS
Working with the Newsletter Committee to pro-duce the Centre's newsletter. Volunteers research articles, write, design, produce and mail the "Urban Forester".
SPECIAL EVENTS VOLUNTEERS
Working with the Special Events Committee to plan, promote and participate in the organization’s special events. There are two main annual events Arbour Day and Tree Banding.
OUTREACH VOLUNTEERS
Working with the Outreach Committee to plan and present information on CSEM and urban forest and environment issues at prebooked events.
FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEERS
Working with the Fundraising Committee to plan, promote and participate in fundraising activities for the organization.
BOARD VOLUNTEERS
Making major decisions regarding the operations of the Centre. Board volunteers also participate on working committees; Finance and Nominating.
COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS
There are also opportunities for people in the community to occasionally volunteer for a specific task. Community volunteers also participate in the Fundraising, Special Events and Administration tasks.
